Gave my 1996 rm250 to Matt. Needed quite a bit of work to get the bike up to par. Matt did a thorough comb through of what needed to be done and gave me recommendations as to where to proceed. Matt always informed me before anything was done. He was good on price, fair and honest. It's tough finding someone you can trust now a days. Matt is the only mechanic I will give my bike to. I highly recommend him.
Matt has done a number of things for me on my bike, a 2016 Harley Low Rider S. Matt changed out the exhaust and added a fuel management system. Unfortunately when I purchased the fuel management system I was shipped the incorrect part number so it signaled the check engine light on my bike. Matt notified me of this promptly and even called DynoJet to hopefully resolve the issue, informing me of the part number I did need. After getting the correct part number, Matt switched these out for me and I had my bike back very quickly. Matt always communicates the work he is doing along the way and makes suggestions if needed. Matt also recently switched out my handlebars to an 11" rise bar... so a new clutch cable, brake cable, riser bushings, and grips were installed. Once again, Matt's work was very pro and he kept me looped in along the way. Personally, I won't bring my bike to anywhere else. Most shops keep you out of the loop, overcharge, and are hard to trust. Matt runs his business the way a business should be run, with good customer service and reliable trustworthy work.
I brought in my 90' Yamaha Radian for a slew of work. Matt was both thorough in his assessment of what needed to get done, and efficient in how quickly the work was completed. My bike runs great! Throughout the process, Matt communicated his intentions and recommendations every step of the way. Matt's prices are very fair, and the quality of the work is pro! I'll definitely come back to him over other places. It's worth the drive from Chicago!
I brought my Suzuki Katana to Matt to fix some issues I was not able to figure out for awhile. After a short period of time of Matt having my bike, he sent me a detailed email with pictures of what was wrong with my bike, why, and what he was going to to fix it. The pictures he sent showed the broken pilot jet tip that would not allow my bike to idle correctly. I trust Matt over any dealership any day. I will definitely be going back to Matt for any other repairs I may need in the future.
Matt installed new exhaust pipes and re-jetted the carburetor on my Honda Shadow 600, as well as replacing my dead battery. Great communication start to end, quick turnaround, very competitive prices compared to some other shops I called, and great quality of work. I'd gladly recommend Matt to anyone.
We found Matt on the web. He fixed our Honda 50 Mini Trail and it runs great. He fixed exactly what needed to be done and his price was fantastic.
I found Matt a few years ago when I moved to the suburbs. He's done everything from multi-point inspections based on mileage, to brake repair, to valve adjustments on my 2004 Volusia. Just a pleasure to work with. He explains everything he is doing (or recommends) and provides receipts. He even gave my bike a once over before I sold it to avoid any BS from the buyer.
Moved to bigger 1600cc bike and have recently scheduled an appt with him for routine spring tune-up and exhaust/commander installation. He's a grease monkey with a college degree! Glad i found him.
Ok, here is my story with this Matt cat. I am new to this motorcycle scene. I had purchased a 81 Honda CB650. Kind of dissapointed because it had electrical problems that seemed to be known, but could never be resolved. I looked up repairs online, and seen Matt's website. After reading all the positive reviews i decided that this was the way to go. I am so glad I did. After meeting Matt, he came off as an honest individual who was well knowledged on what he was doing. During the weeks of having the bike, he kept me inform on a day to day basis on what work was being done. All was well, but he was stumped on this electrical problem. After days of him doing research, and not giving up, he finally found out the problem. This was a miracle. The gentleman who sold me the bike was mechanically inclined, and could not figure out the issue having the bike over a year. Matt was a saver. He was proffesional in all aspects of this repair. He also caught some other problems that he immediatly fixed to assure my saftey was prioritized. I can not express my gratitude towards Matt. Not only was he was proffesional, but super affordable. Before this all started, I had explained to him my budget, and he shopped around, finding the most affordable way to complete this repair. Day 2 of having the bike back. AWESOME. Runs smooth as a bike can run. I am still in aw on how he was able to do what others could not. I highly recommend Matt to anyone who is looking for a affordable and proffesional mechanic. My number is 847 613-9994, if anyone would like to call me to back this review up.
I wanted more performance from my 1300. I found Matt online and after talking with him we decided which way to go.He kept in touch with me, had the bike done when promised and his price was VERY reasonable. I would highly recommend him. You will not be disappointed.
I found Matt through all the stellar reviews on the web. I was not disappointed. When I called he told me he was full, and gave me a date to bring my scooter over, which speaks to his honesty. He fixed the starting issue I had, I have had no issues since, and he did so at a very reasonable rate. I highly recommend taking your scooter, bike, anything to Matt. He is a professional who clearly takes pride in his work.
